Native Flora
Native Flora
Native Flora is an original mixed media painting from the Botanica collection, where bold botanical form meets layered colour and expressive surface.
The background takes shape and form from Australian wild flowers extracted from a vintage tea towel. Set against a deep, atmospheric ground of indigo, charcoal, and softened blue, the composition is punctuated by rich bursts of burnt orange, coral, and ochre. These warmer tones emerge through layered applications of paint, creating contrast and intensity against the darker field beneath.
At the centre, stylised botanical forms unfold in saturated greens and deep teal, interwoven with curved bands of yellow and golden tones. Surrounding elements—suggestive of leaves, petals, and fragments of pattern—shift between opacity and transparency, allowing colour to build in depth across the surface.
Influenced by mid-century design and vintage textile references, Native Flora balances decorative pattern with expressive abstraction. The result is a composition that feels both structured and organic—where colour, rhythm, and form combine to create a work that is bold, immersive, and deeply atmospheric.

Care Instruction For Your Flowers
Care Instruction For Your Flowers
Find A Vase
Find a suitable clean vase, fill with fresh water and the flower food provided then add your flowers making sure all of the leaves are removed that are below the waterline and enjoy.
Remember to clean your vase, this can be done with a splash of lemon juice or vinegar for sparking results.
Trim Your Stems
Remove the lower clear packaging over a sink (leave the top of your flowers wrapped if you prefer) keeping your flowers tied as they have been expertly arranged for you by our floral designers. Cut 3-5cm off the ends of your stems at a diagonal.
Find The Right Home
Flowers are just like us, they don't like to be too hot or too cold. Keep them off windowsills, away from direct sunlight, drafts and away from radiators.
Flowers and fruit aren’t always best friends so keep them away from your bananas and apples as they can give off gasses that flowers don’t like.
Please take care to display your flowers by not placing them on surfaces that may mark easily. Use a protective mat if necessary.
Change The Water
Flowers love clean water so remember to change the water and add new flower food every 2-3 days. Flowers get thirsty, so check your stems are always below the waterline. Certain flowers will last longer than others so remove older looking flowers as this will ensure that the other stems will keep on blooming.
Caring For Your Arrangement
If your flowers are made in floral foam within a hatbox, ceramic pot, vase or similar please check the water level and top up daily or as required.
Important Note
Some flowers and plants can be harmful if consumed, lilies in particular can be harmful to cats. Care should also be taken to keep all flowers, plants and foliage out of the reach of children and animals. Please take care to display your flowers by not placing them on surfaces that may mark easily. Use a protective mat if necessary.
